Mission Statement- TAL Department of Wyoming

The American Legion Department of Wyoming is guided by a mission to enhance

the well-being of America’s veterans, their families, the military, and communities

through “mutual helpfulness,” focusing on Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation,

National Security, Americanism, and Children & Youth.

Our mission reflects the Legion’s core values of service, patriotism, and support

for those who serve. As your Commander, my role is to lead and uphold this

mission by:

  • Advocating for veterans through legislative action, public awareness, and direct

support.

  • Promoting national security and the values of Americanism.
  • Supporting rehabilitation and well-being of veterans and their families.
  • Engaging youth through scholarships, leadership programs, and community

service.

  •  Fostering comradery, and togetherness among the Legion, The Legion

Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion, Legion Riders, and members at all levels.

The Commander’s leadership is expected to inspire and mobilize the Department’s

membership growth to better enable us to carry forward this mission, ensuring that the

Department of Wyoming remains a strong, active, and impactful voice for veterans and

their communities across the state.
